Mikuni PHH carburetors are highly regarded for their advanced engineering, specifically designed to withstand the demanding conditions of racing. Their lightweight floats, made from modern materials, effectively resist harmful vibrations, ensuring the proper fuel level and a consistent air-fuel mixture even under extreme racing conditions. The float chamber was meticulously designed to maintain optimal volume from any angle, preventing fuel delivery issues regardless of the vehicle’s motion.

The accelerator pump features a diaphragm-type construction using a durable Teflon material, providing reliable fuel flow and excellent throttle response during intense use. Additionally, the throttle bore of the PHH carburetor was precisely machined with a tolerance of just .0002 inches, allowing for fine adjustments and ensuring smooth operation.

Other notable features included a standard cooling body to prevent fuel percolation, vibration-resistant needle valves, and an external fuel level adjustment system. These innovations made the Mikuni PHH carburetors a top choice for racing applications, delivering reliable performance and ease of tuning.
